We are looking for a driven and skilled Civil Engineer with a focus on land development initiatives, a proven history of collaboration with homebuilders and commercial projects, and expertise in AutoCAD. In this role, you will be integral to the planning, design, and implementation of diverse land development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Design:
Conduct thorough site evaluations and feasibility analyses for land development initiatives.
Create comprehensive site layouts, grading plans, and drainage designs utilizing AutoCAD and other relevant tools.
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and other professionals to ensure cohesive project designs.
Collaboration with Homebuilders and Commercial Developers:
Engage with homebuilders and commercial developers to ascertain their project needs and objectives.
Deliver engineering insights and solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
Serve as a liaison between the firm and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project advancement.
Regulatory Compliance:
Possess knowledge of local zoning regulations, land use laws, and environmental standards.
Prepare and submit necessary permit applications, and coordinate with regulatory bodies for project approvals.
Construction Support:
Offer technical assistance during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design specifications.
Conduct site inspections and resolve any engineering-related challenges that may arise during construction.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, landscape architects, and environmental engineers to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in land development projects, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with homebuilders and commercial projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, site planning, and design methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and internal teams.
Familiarity with local zoning regulations, land use laws, and environmental standards.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
