Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at our Outpatient Surgery Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures, providing top-notch care to our patients, and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform surgical scrub and gowning procedures according to standards.
- Prepare sterile trays, instruments, and supplies based on the procedure type.
- Assist in patient preparation and draping.
- Uphold aseptic technique at all times.
- Aid in dressing application and patient positioning.
- Decontaminate equipment, instruments, and supplies and maintain cleanliness.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and par levels of supplies and equipment.
- Open and close the operating room according to established procedures.
- Collaborate with the registered nurse in various areas, including pre-op, sterile processing, and PACU.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program preferred.
- 1 year of OR experience preferred.
- Current medical assistant certification and CPR certification preferred.
