We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Powers Health. As a Patient Care Tech, you will provide essential care and support to patients on our nursing floor, working closely with our nursing staff to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic care to patients, including answering call lights, serving food and nourishment, and assisting with mobility and ambulation.
- Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing and transport patients to designated areas of the hospital as needed.
- Assist with patient transfers and discharges, and maintain a safe and clean environment in assigned work areas.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified nurse assistant training course or one year of satisfactory work experience as a nurse assistant preferred.
- Current valid State certification strongly recommended; must be able to demonstrate ability to perform required competencies within allotted time periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
