Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Thoracic Surgeon to join our team on a locum tenens basis. As a Thoracic Surgeon with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of healthcare professionals and provide high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of minimally invasive thoracic surgical procedures, including general thoracic, esophageal, and pulmonary/cardiac thoracic surgery.
  • Exhibit expertise in robotic procedures and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of advanced surgical technologies.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex thoracic conditions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in thoracic surgery.
  • Extensive experience in a surgical practice setting, including general thoracic, esophageal, and pulmonary/cardiac thoracic surgery.
  • Exhibits expertise in a range of minimally invasive thoracic surgical procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience with robotic procedures.
Work Environment

Our organization is a Level 1 trauma center, a certified stroke center, a chest pain center certified with PCI, and sepsis center. We have a state-of-the-art operating room with large operating suites, including a year-old Siemens hybrid operating room and a dedicated peripheral suite in the cardiac catheterization lab.

  • 1 Advanced Practice Provider for the office and 2 separate Advanced Practice Providers.
