About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Engineer to join our team at Leidos, supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security operations center (SOC). As a key member of our Enterprise Splunk team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a large distributed clustered Splunk environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You should have experience working in a Linux environment, editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and apps. Additionally, proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a scalable Splunk architecture to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain custom Splunk dashboards and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk best practices and emerging technologies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 12 years' experience in Information Technology, with 4+ years in a senior Splunk role
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems and Splunk architecture
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Ability to follow Change & Configuration Management
  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required, with the ability to pass a 5-year Background Investigation

Estimated Salary: $126,100 - $227,950 per annum.
