Head Nurse-Radiology Professional

At NYC Health Hospitals, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care. As a Head Nurse-Radiology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of patient care during hospital hours of operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care and monitor staff performance.
- Serve as a resource person to staff members and as a preceptor for new nursing personnel.
- Ensure documentation of patient care and health education.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality care.
- Collaborate with the nursing supervisor to ensure the unit is running smoothly.
- Assist with disciplinary problems and counsel staff as needed.
- Conduct monthly nursing staff meetings and maintain minutes.
- Monitor patient care to ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care, documentation according to policy and procedure, and patient needs are met.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients receiving conscious sedation analgesia.
- Develop and maintain current population-specific competencies to care for patients undergoing various procedures.

Requirements:- A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One (1) year of experience as a registered nurse.
