About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the PACU department at UP Health System - Marquette. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care given and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Requirements
  • State of Michigan RN license.
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year.
