Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor to lead our High-Risk Perinatal Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our unit.

Unit Overview

The High-Risk Perinatal Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital is a 18-bed unit dedicated to the care of pregnant women requiring hospitalization for complications during pregnancy. Our team of Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists provides specialized care to our patients, and our nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement unit-based shared governance structures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and effective care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least one year of registered nurse clinical experience.
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
