About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Regional Psychologist to join our team at Wellpath. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide clinical mental health services to offenders and clients at correctional and detention facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of clinical services, including diagnosis, treatment, psychological testing, and crisis management, ensuring adherence to established standards and expectations.
  • Ensure clinical documentation is completed professionally and timely, maintain data for departmental needs, participate in case staffing, care management meetings, and quality improvement activities.
  • Assist in staff selection, recruitment, and provide clinical supervision and direction to mental health professionals, help develop and refine facility policies and procedures in consultation with clinical and administrative supervisors.
  • Immediately notify the Mental Health Coordinator/Director of serious incidents such as suicide attempts or the use of therapeutic restraints, assist in reviewing and correcting crisis intervention services, and arrange/participate in 24-hour crisis intervention services.
  • Provide professional education and staff development for mental health professionals and facility staff, supervise other staff or interns as needed, and ensure compliance with facility employee standards, including maintaining a professional working environment and appearance.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in psychology and experience with mental health delivery systems.
  • Significant professional experience in the mental field that indicates knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments.
  • Licensed to practice psychology in the State of employment by the appropriate state licensing agency.
