Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innovative Pharmaceutical Solutions Group.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced long-term care pharmacy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing, using our automated Parata software and other pharmacy systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Medication Preparation
• Pack medications in compliant packaging systems with proper labeling
• Operate automated dispensing robots, including prepack machines and pouch packaging machines
• Inventory Management
• Assist in inventory management, putting away the daily drug order, and organizing the Pharmacy drug shelves
• Delivery and Logistics
• Tote and prepare medications for delivery
• Patient Care
• Review patient medical records to ensure medication delivery is complete and all needed medications are ready for delivery
• Technical Skills
• Operate Pharmacy software system (Framework LTC) efficiently to assist the Pharmacist in medication dispensing
• Efficiently and accurately use various computer systems, including Microsoft office, Emar systems, and other Pharmacy dispensing software systems
• Physical Demands
• All duties are performed standing, must be able to stand for entire shift which could be 7-10 hours
• Weekday shifts are scheduled until close, must be able to stay until all work is finished for the day
• Rotates through weekend and Holiday shifts

Requirements

• Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
