Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the produce department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Supervision and Delegation: Supervise and delegate tasks to produce team members, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Training and Development: Work with the produce trainer to train team members in a manner that builds and sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that all cases and shelves are clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated.
- Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, directing team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
- Performance Evaluation: Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations to team members.
- Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
- Skills: Extensive knowledge of produce team procedures and policies, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills, and proficiency with email and Microsoft Office.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours, and work in a wet and cold environment.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
