About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Specialist to provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care to general medical-surgical units. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and treating patients in the step-down unit setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.
Requirements:
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- Two years of recent Step Down experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
