Job Title: Paramedic (Casual) AHN Emergency Transport - Beaver Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team at AHN Emergency Transport. As a Paramedic, you will provide emergency medical care to patients in the prehospital environment, effectively communicating with all persons and departments involved in the administration of Emergency Medical Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive emergency or response vehicle.
  • Determine nature and extent of illness or injury; provide basic and advanced life support to the critically ill and injured during treatment and transport in the prehospital setting.
  • Complete required documentation according to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory of supplies including BLS and ALS and have accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • For Prehospital Response Unit: 5 years' relevant experience and current preceptor status.
  • Medical Command eligible.
  • PA certification as Paramedic or licensed PHRN.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • EMSVO within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS within 30 days of hire.
  • ITLS/PHTLS within 2 months of hire.
  • PALS within 30 days of hire.
  • CPR – American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Haz-Mat Technician. ICS 100, 200 and IS 700, 800, ABLS and ASLS.
  • One year experience (AHN EMS).
