Job Overview

Position Summary:
APB Management Corp. is in search of a meticulous and skilled Paralegal to enhance our property management division. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of real estate law, with a focus on managing legal documentation, including lease contracts and Letters of Intent (LOIs), while effectively coordinating communications among property owners, tenants, and service providers. Key Duties:

  • Lease Documentation: Draft, review, and modify lease contracts to guarantee compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.
  • Letters of Intent (LOIs): Prepare, assess, and oversee LOIs, ensuring precision and alignment with property management goals.
  • Communication Oversight: Manage all legal communications between property owners, tenants, and service providers, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Legal Research: Perform legal research as necessary to support property management decisions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Document Organization: Systematically organize, maintain, and update legal documents, files, and records pertinent to property management.
  • Dispute Assistance: Aid in resolving conflicts between property owners, tenants, and service providers by offering legal support and documentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor that all property management practices adhere to relevant legal requirements, including lease contracts and vendor agreements.
  • Support for Legal Counsel: Provide administrative and legal assistance to the General Counsel and property management team.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, ideally within the real estate or property management sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing automated tracking systems for managing legal documents and communications. Familiarity with property management software is advantageous.
  • Legal Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of real estate law, lease contracts, and property management practices.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Organizational Skills: Capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in addressing legal disputes and contract matters.
  • Professional Integrity: Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Office-based.
  • Hours: Part-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility required for urgent matters.
