Garment Handler

Job Summary:

As a key member of our team at VESTIS, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of merchandise in our industrial laundry facility. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Remove coveralls, smocks, and other merchandise from carts or lift tables
• Manually fold and stack merchandise into various bundles and place on conveyor
• Identify and segregate merchandise that does not meet quality standards, reporting findings to the proper person
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to best practices in production activities

Requirements:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills and good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Meet attendance schedule and work overtime as needed

Working Conditions:

• Work in a warehouse setting, exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and dust and noise
• Repetitive motions, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 25 lbs
• Requires standing and walking for long periods of time

Education:

High school degree or equivalent preferred
