Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Educator and STEAM Facilitator to join our team at Thinkery. As a member of our Little Thinkers Preschool, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young learners and inspiring their curiosity about the world around them.

Thinkery is a trusted children's museum, community, and learning hub where kids and their families come to enjoy play-based, inquiry-rich, hands-on learning experiences. Our mission is to inspire confident, creative thinkers through innovative, interactive museum exhibits, early childhood education, and research-backed professional development programs for educators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Lead Teacher to plan and facilitate engaging STEAM-based activities and lessons that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment that complies with state regulations and promotes school readiness.
  • Build strong relationships with families and caregivers through regular communication and feedback.
  • Assess and evaluate student growth and development daily, providing consistent and effective feedback to parents.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in communicating student progress and attending parent-teacher conferences.
  • Guide behavior and ensure Thinkery's Health and Safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A High School Diploma or GED; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Special Education, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children and parents in an early childhood education setting, preferably at a NAEYC or TRS-accredited program.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, during peak seasons.
