Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled MST Therapist to join our team. As an MST Therapist, you will work intensively with a small caseload of families, providing clinically effective interventions to promote responsible behavior and address practical barriers to parent/caregiver effectiveness.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Hennepin County DOCCR and HHS staff, MST team members and supervisors, family members, and schools to provide clinically effective, family-based interventions.
- Choose and encourage specific parenting interventions with the assistance of the MST supervisor and expert consultant.
- Work with family members to establish clear goals and actively work towards those goals.
- Track the progress of treatment and measure success.
- Attend mandatory clinical supervision, consultation, and training sessions.
- A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related degree from an accredited school.
- Experience with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy, and Behaviorally Based substance use reduction models is preferred.
- Solid mental health clinical training and experience, motivation, flexibility, and situational awareness.
- The ability and willingness to provide home-based mental health services to parents/caregivers of youth aged 12-17 involved in the juvenile justice system.
- The ability and willingness to provide mental health case management and carry a caseload of four to six families.
- The ability and willingness to work creatively with families throughout the week, including meeting for evening sessions when needed, as well as providing rotating on-call support (24 hours/day, 7 days/week coverage).
- Skilled communication and the ability to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders, including probation, school staff, case management, and family members.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule, while possessing a willingness to connect with team members and supervisors when support is needed.
- A valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet TFP's driving record requirements.
- A competitive annual salary range of $60,000 - $64,000.
- A $1,000 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment.
