About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Staff Psychologist - Access Program, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to our patients and contributing to the development and implementation of our mental health programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders to patients in a variety of settings, including individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to mental health services.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on mental health topics and issues.
  • Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve mental health services and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience working with patients with mental health disorders, particularly those with complex and chronic conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
