We are seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse to work in outpatient medical facilities in the 5 boroughs. This position requires travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support the clinic's daily activities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients and assign patient and staff schedules
  • Supervise fellow nurses and medical assistants
  • Work with family and staff for well-coordinated care for patients
  • Obtain prior authorizations on behalf of providers
  • Ensure provider and support staff documentation for all PHI is completed by EOB
  • Serve as both patient advocate and liaison between the practice and population
Requirements:
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of New York
  • Experience with patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
  • EMR experience is important
  • Ability to participate in paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings
  • Tuberculosis test mandatory
Great Qualities:
  • Detail-oriented with a desire to document patient health information daily
  • An interest in blending computer skills into nursing skills
