We are seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse to work in outpatient medical facilities in the 5 boroughs. This position requires travel.
Responsibilities:- Oversee and support the clinic's daily activities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients and assign patient and staff schedules
- Supervise fellow nurses and medical assistants
- Work with family and staff for well-coordinated care for patients
- Obtain prior authorizations on behalf of providers
- Ensure provider and support staff documentation for all PHI is completed by EOB
- Serve as both patient advocate and liaison between the practice and population
- Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of New York
- Experience with patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
- EMR experience is important
- Ability to participate in paid NYS Mandated OPWDD initial trainings
- Tuberculosis test mandatory
- Detail-oriented with a desire to document patient health information daily
- An interest in blending computer skills into nursing skills
