Job Summary:
The Charge Nurse is a key member of the nursing team at Saint Francis Hospital - Bartlett, responsible for managing the daily operations of the Stepdown Unit. This role requires a strong leader who can promote efficient operations, provide effective nursing care, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and the Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Stepdown Unit independently, under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act
- Promote optimum healthcare delivery within budgetary guidelines
- Responsible for the unit on a 24-hour basis
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 1 year RN experience
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR
