Position Title: Certified Nursing Assistant for Long-term Care
Location: Mile Bluff Medical Center
Available Shifts:
- Full-time, Evening Shift; 80 hours per pay period
- Part-time, Evening Shift; 56 hours per pay period (Nights on Weekends)
Weekend Schedule: Includes every other weekend, with weekend pay differential available
Holiday Schedule: Participation in holiday rotation required
Role Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in delivering quality care to residents in accordance with established nursing home standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists residents with personal hygiene needs, including the use of bedpans, urinals, bathing, back rubs, shampoos, and shaving, as well as support during showers.
- Facilitates daily living activities by assisting with meals, feeding patients, mobilizing, turning, and positioning residents, and ensuring access to fresh water and snacks.
- Monitors vital signs and weight, aids in specimen collection, and provides post-mortem care as needed.
- Addresses the comfort needs of residents promptly.
- Responds swiftly to resident call lights and requests.
- Performs additional duties as requested within the scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification for practice
