Job Title: HVAC Technician 2

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician 2 to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and installing rented HVAC equipment, training customers on safe use, and performing general shop duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment to customers, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Train authorized operators and customers on the safe use of equipment, including proper setup and operation.
  • Direct customers to sign necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of equipment serial numbers.
  • Successfully troubleshoot and repair equipment, understanding its operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and follow all company safety policies.
  • Clean and test returned equipment to ensure it meets standards.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Install flexible gas hoses on propane and natural gas applications, implementing proper and safe procedures for gas connections.
  • Work with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Be available for emergency service calls on weekends and evenings, rotating schedule as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience or training.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to work some after-hours and weekend shifts during peak times.
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair most Climate Control equipment, understanding and applying all safety principles.
