Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to join our team at TRC Companies. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and establishing financial workbooks and reports in Deltek and Power BI to track and monitor program financial performance.

You will perform financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and prepare reports of findings and recommendations to program management. Additionally, you may provide analysis on business development and monitor business performance by region or group.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts such as rates of return, budgeting, and income statement analysis. You will work closely with program management to provide financial outlooks, monitor risks and opportunities, and enable program management to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report program finance performance, including sales, NSR, and EBITDA
  • Budgeting and cost controls
  • Variance analysis
  • Submission of accruals and journal entries
  • Estimate At Completion (EAC) updates
  • Create and brief annual Fiscal Year Plan for selected projects
  • Generate labor and cost reports
  • Track Accounts Receivable
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities to outlooks
  • Provide financial analyses and scenarios for ad-hoc budgeting and pricing exercises
  • Invoice and other client-facing deliverables
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 7 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree
  • Prior relevant experience with program finance
