Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess specialized experience as outlined below:

  • For GS-11: One year of experience equivalent to GS-09, which includes familiarity with budget formulation and funding distribution.
  • For GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11, demonstrating expertise in budget processes and stakeholder communication.
  • For GS-13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, including advanced knowledge of appropriations and funding legislation.
  • For GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13, focusing on budget implementation and providing technical assistance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Your qualifications will be assessed based on your proficiency in the following areas:

  • Technical Credibility: Ability to apply principles and regulations related to financial expertise.
  • Compliance: Knowledge of procedures for evaluating programs for adherence to federal laws.
  • Oral Communication: Skill in effectively conveying information to diverse audiences.
  • Written Communication: Ability to produce clear and organized written materials.

Additional Information:
All qualifying experience, including volunteer work, will be credited. Candidates currently enrolled in a qualifying degree program may apply if they are within six months of graduation.
