Position Summary: The Material Handler plays a crucial role in the operational flow of Dalsin Industries Inc by identifying, transporting, and managing materials throughout the facility. This position emphasizes efficiency and safety, ensuring that production areas are well-stocked and organized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while performing job duties, implementing best practices for continuous improvement.
- Comply with safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); safety glasses must be worn at all times within the facility.
- Possess certification as a Forklift Operator.
- Demonstrate the ability to read blueprints, measure accurately, and apply basic math skills to identify and verify components.
- Support initiatives for Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Facilitate the delivery of materials to various work centers as required by the production team.
- Utilize the ERP system to assess the bill of materials and effectively stage and transfer work in progress to the appropriate operations; familiarity with Epicor is advantageous.
- Retrieve materials as needed for production orders while maintaining organized storage locations.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and manage material transactions effectively.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly to promote a safe working environment.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates must have at least 12 months of experience operating a forklift.
