Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assurance Intern to join our team. As an Assurance Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced professionals on a variety of projects, including audits, financial statement preparation, and risk assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Understand clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
  • Develop an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
  • Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure.
  • Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
  • Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.
Requirements
  • 90 credit hours completed.
  • Working towards B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university.
  • Accounting Major.
  • Travel to assigned client locations is required.
  • Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
