About the Role

HonorHealth is seeking a highly skilled Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Physical Therapy division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive athletic care and treatment to student athletes in the field and clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct thorough evaluations of student athletes and develop appropriate plans of care to assist in their return to prior levels of function.
  • Prevention and Education: Provide education and training on injury prevention, safety measures, and proper care techniques to student athletes, coaches, and staff.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, administrators, coaches, parents, and student athletes to ensure seamless care and management of injuries.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor athletic training staff, ensuring quality of care and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student athlete interactions, visits, and sessions in EMR software.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, CPR/AED/First Aid certification, and NATA BOC certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work variable and irregular hours, and proficiency in EMR software.
