Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at At Home Healthcare. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in evaluating client level of function and determining type of speech or language disorder.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective therapy for clients and participate in development and modification of plan of care.
  • Provide speech and language disorder services in the client's home as prescribed by the physician.
  • Evaluate client's home environment and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Document client's condition and report any changes to the physician and nursing supervisor.
  • Implement changes to the plan of care as authorized by the client's physician.
  • Provide instruction and training to other healthcare personnel, clients, and family members.
  • Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and counsel with team members to evaluate client's progress.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Speech therapy curriculum.
  • Eligibility for the National Registration Examination of the American Speech Therapy Association.
  • 2 years of direct client contact.
  • Current license as a Speech Therapist in the State of practice.
  • Current valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology or Audiology.
  • Basic life support (CPR) certification.
  • Proof of TB screening within the past 12 months.

Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
