About the Role

Cipla, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a skilled Chemist to join our team at our manufacturing site in Central Islip, NY. As a Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products by conducting testing and analysis in our QC laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine testing and analysis of various samples using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Operate chromatography systems, including Enpower, to analyze complex data sets.
  • Participate in investigation activities to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP and GLP practices, procedures, and expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality and productivity goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a physical science, such as chemistry or physics.
  • Current knowledge of cGMP and GLP practices.
  • Working knowledge of raw materials and finished product testing, including GC, HPLC, and Karl Fischer techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and scientific software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in oral solids testing.
  • Familiarity with Chromatography systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
