Whitlock Place is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant/Homemaker Companion to join our team. As a CNA/HHA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Care: Provide hands-on care, physical and emotional support to each resident, maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe, report, and document symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition, such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
- Security and Response: Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, notifying supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
- Continence Management: Assist with continence management and dispose of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.
- Food Service and Housekeeping: Serve and collect food trays, assist as needed, and report refusal of meals or loss of appetite. Maintain cleanliness of resident's room and work areas.
- Activities and Engagement: Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity and physical safety of each resident. Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
- Customer Service: Greet and assist all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
- Laundry and Other Duties: Do resident laundry as assigned and needed, and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Certification: Certified Nurse's Aid certification preferred.
- Education: High School diploma/GED.
- Age: Must be 18 years of age.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
