Job Summary

The Production Fabricator is responsible for making quality composite or concrete products in a safe and timely manner by operating different sizes of vibrating tables, forms, and various other equipment based on a pre-determined schedule. This role involves various shifts, with shift differential and OT opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment, returns all tools after use to proper storage location, and performs routine housekeeping.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and identifies unsafe working conditions.
  • Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the forms and equipment are completed.
  • Performs a variety of production duties, including operating a crane to maneuver product, materials, and forms from vibrator table to pallets, cleaning hoppers and belts, and oiling forms.
  • Reads production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly, sets up the form as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials, and makes indicated modifications to the set-up as necessary.
  • Fills hopper to required level, pours concrete into a form, places reinforcing steel as needed, adds lifting hardware, finishes concrete based on quality control standards and/or specifications/drawings, strips product off of form once completed, stacks correctly, and applies curing treatments.
Requirements
  • Preferred Experience: minimum 6 months
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings
  • Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools, including trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, etc.
