  • Maintain highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming experience and respond promptly to any incidents or concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to a wide variety of property, life, or asset-threatening conditions with immediate assistance.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of pertinent information and observe safety hazards, violations of policies, procedures, rules, or laws, and report to shift management.
  • Assure quality support to other departments so that they may serve guests more effectively.
  • Promote property promotions and events to enhance the guest experience.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other Security personnel or Boomtown staff to provide optimum security and customer service.
  • Maintain accountability for assigned monies during fills, drops, and escorts, and other assigned duties.
  • Monitor and protect Boomtown and customer assets within your control, reporting theft and/or destruction promptly to appropriate personnel.
  • Answer questions, offer assistance as required, and generally function as a departmental host for Boomtown's customers.
  • Complete a wide variety of paperwork on a daily basis as needed by the department and by the company.
  • Create a fun and exciting experience for our guests.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in casino security, security, or law enforcement preferred.
  • Requires a clean driving record and a valid MS Driver's License.
  • Certification in AED, CPR, and First Aid preferred.
  • Basic skills and understanding of computers preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be noisy and/or have excessive cigarette smoke.
  • Need tact when dealing with difficult customers.
  • Run on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs.
  • Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts and defend self and others in combative situations.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas, including walking and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to multi-task as required.
  • Required to initiate positive interactions with guests and employees.
  • Actively patrolling sections/floor looking for interaction opportunities, answering calls while still maintaining the ability to build relationships.
  • The ability to operate company motor vehicles.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas, such as confined spaces.
  • Must complete Serv Safe alcohol training course.
