Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Mary Washington Healthcare. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation. You will work closely with other disciplines and services to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to set goals and develop treatment plans.
  • Record and document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress.
  • Supervise therapy personnel and students as assigned.
  • Stay current with new programs and treatments in the occupational therapy field.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities for PM&R Team Leader
  • Lead department-specific staff meetings and huddles.
  • Manage daily operational activities related to the departmental budget.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Assist with performance appraisals and disciplinary process.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • NBCOT examination passed.
  • Current Virginia State licensure required.
  • AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
  • Professional competency as a general practitioner as defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Team Leader Qualifications
  • Must have a successful performance appraisal and a strong commitment to the organization.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of clinical PM&R experience.
  • Must be team-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong multi-tasking, facilitation, resolution, and time management skills.
  • Must be a full-time associate (.9 or higher).
  • Must exhibit exemplary customer service and a positive attitude.
