Job Summary

As a Senior Clinical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading clinical teams, and driving quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide independent care to patients in the Emergency Department, serving as a clinical resource for colleagues and utilizing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead clinical teams, coaching and mentoring staff to advance their skills and knowledge, and promoting a culture of excellence and safety.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing evidence-based solutions to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards that promote patient safety and quality care.
  • Participate in hospital-wide patient safety initiatives, identifying and mitigating risks to patient safety.

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or eligibility to practice due to Compact state agreements.
  • Up-to-date status on all mandatory training and classes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher, or equivalent experience.
  • Current BLS certification and unit-based licensure as required for the role.
  • Relevant clinical work experience related to practice in the Emergency Department.
  • Maintenance of 20 contact hours of education every two years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Specialty certification in Emergency Nursing or related field.
  • Experience in leadership or management roles.
