Freight Transportation Specialist

Penske Truck Leasing seeks motivated and qualified applicants to fill a unique position as Freight Transportation Specialist. This role is responsible for vehicle delivery and return to Penske locations and customers.

• Follow safety procedures while driving trucks to destinations, ensuring vehicles are in good working order and reporting any issues to location managers.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

• 2 years of driving experience with a clean DMV motor vehicle record.
• A valid CDL Class B license; CDL Class A license is preferred.
• The ability to read and follow written instructions and work independently with excellent customer service skills.

This role requires frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting. You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg. Additionally, you must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.

This part-time truck driving job offers a competitive hourly rate: $18.00/hour for CDL Class A drivers and $17/hour for CDL Class B drivers.
