Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the educational experience of students through effective assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students receive tailored support.
  • Counseling Services: Provide direct counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving student outcomes and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services and interventions.
  • Crisis Intervention: Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies, ensuring the well-being and safety of students and staff.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Valid Michigan state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience: Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.
