Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our residential care staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality personal care and support services to our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities/Duties
Assist residents with daily personal cares, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene as needed.
Help residents with mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation.
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
Participate in medication administration and assist with treatments as delegated by the RN.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care activities.
Collaborate with other care team members to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care. Previous experience in a similar setting is an asset.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull heavy equipment as needed.
