Quality Assurance Manager for Aerospace Electronics

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with AS9100 and AS9115 documentation processes specific to hardware.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Deep understanding of AS9100 standards and requirements.
  • Capability to design and implement operational systems and procedures tailored for high-tech electronics research and development, including relevant flowcharts and procedural instructions.
  • Background in electronics quality assurance testing, particularly for military and aerospace applications.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the electronics hardware and software engineering design processes.
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing operations and procedures.
  • Audit experience is beneficial but not essential; the ability to create and maintain effective systems and documentation is crucial.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate across departments to enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring product reliability, consistency, and traceability.
  • Facilitate continual improvement initiatives to identify and resolve root causes of issues that may arise.
  • Ensure that developed systems and procedures are computerized and organized for easy access and utility.
  • Deliver quarterly quality status presentations and scorecards to management, utilizing quantitative metrics to identify and mitigate production issues, including analysis of product returns, scrap rates, labor efficiency, and purchasing trends.
  • Report on QMS performance and highlight opportunities for improvement to senior management.
