Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Life Care Planner to join our team at CorVel Healthcare Corporation. As a key member of our Life Care Planning department, you will play a vital role in developing reports that outline the future medical and non-medical expenses of individuals with workers' compensation or other liability claims.

The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed in this role, you should possess strong clinical knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, particularly in orthopedics, neurology, or similar fields. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in collaborating with defense and plaintiff counsel to obtain necessary signed releases from claimants.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize medical records into chronological order
  • Assess, review, and summarize medical records in a clear and concise manner
  • Perform evidence-based medical research regarding unfamiliar diagnoses and future medical needs
  • Compile comprehensive lists of necessary future medical expenses
  • Assign CPT coding and pricing to all future medical expenses
  • Collaborate with defense and plaintiff counsel to obtain necessary signed releases from claimants
  • May assist with preparation of Medicare Set-Aside allocations

Requirements:

  • Certification as a CLCP or CNLCP required
  • Certification as a Medicare Secondary Payer consultant preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN desirable
  • Current RN licensure in the state of operation
  • 3+ years of recent clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation
  • Strong cost containment background helpful

Salary Range:

$58,282 - $93,870 per year, depending on your location and experience. We use a market-based approach to pay and adjust salaries according to factors such as job-related skills, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions.
