Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN to join our team at NURSING Plains Regional Medical Center. This role requires a professional with a strong background in nursing and the ability to adapt to various clinical environments.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
  • Certifications must be obtained through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
Job Details
  • Applicants must adhere to the 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE - local travelers will not be considered.
  • Submission of candidates must be managed through our facility; direct contact from candidates is not permitted.
  • Active nursing license is required for consideration.
  • Time off requests after acceptance will not be accommodated.
  • Submission must include at least two references (one from a current manager), a resume, and a completed skills checklist/competency assessment.
  • This is a 13-week assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of current experience in the unit; ICU experience is preferred.
  • Candidates must be flexible, team-oriented, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is essential.
  • Position may require floating to other areas, primarily ICU, and performing only within the scope of practice.
  • Travelers will provide care for admitted inpatients in the ED as needed.
  • Shifts may vary to meet departmental staffing needs, including on-call, weekends, and holidays.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med/Surg/Tele or Progressive Care unit; ICU experience is a plus.
  • Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment is required.
Schedule Information
  • Shifts are 12-hour varied positions, primarily in Med-Surg/Tele with potential floating to ICU.
  • Shifts may fluctuate based on departmental needs, with on-call, weekends, and holidays as possibilities.
Additional Information
  • Travelers must not have been employed by the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for the past 12 months to be eligible for a travel position.
  • Travelers will be the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius of their assigned location.
  • State tax obligations will be managed through the agency and reflected on invoices.
  • Ensure accurate SS# and DOB are provided.
