Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dimensional Inspector to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the dimensional accuracy of our castings, adhering to established requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect castings to verify dimensional compliance with established requirements
  • Communicate inspection results to relevant stakeholders, including filling out travelers and discrepancy tags
  • Operate various measuring devices, including micrometers, calipers, and dyers, to ensure accurate measurements
  • Collaborate with engineering and management teams to resolve any dimensional discrepancies or issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; strong inspection background preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of inspection principles and practices
  • Competency in all types of measuring devices, including micrometers, calipers, and dyers
  • Strong blueprint reading and math skills
  • Ability to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
