Cafeteria Worker

Job Summary:

As a Cafeteria Worker at Publix Super Markets, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing, cooking, and serving meals to our associates, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including entrees, sides, and desserts
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and sweeping/mopping floors
• Restock inventory and supplies as needed
• Work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless service to our associates

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• Be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• Have at least six months of cooking experience in an environment where a variety of entrees and methods are used
• Have the ability to work well with others and be a team member

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Atlanta Distribution associate
• Have more than six months of cooking experience in an environment where a variety of entrees and methods are used

Work Environment:

Temperatures could range from 0 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit; also includes working in a wet environment.
