Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on inpatient units, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, and writing orders.
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients in the emergency department, clinic, and ICU settings.
  • Consult with supervisory physicians to determine the most appropriate care for patients.
  • Perform physical examinations, take medical histories, coordinate lab tests and diagnostic studies, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education.
Requirements
  • Current and clear license as an APRN in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification.
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an APRN within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in ICU, emergency medicine, or pediatric ICU settings.
  • AGACNP, AGPCNP, or FNP certification.
  • PNP-AC or NNP certification.
