About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neuro/Stroke department. As a Day-shift RN, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, monitoring and documenting their condition, and administering prescribed medications and treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective and timely care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
  • Evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
  • Assess and coordinate patient education needs, providing teaching and educational materials as necessary.
  • Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on the specific unit or department.
