About the Certified Nursing Assistant Role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Float Pool is an unlicensed assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and maintains a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The CNA will be assigned as needed to various departments, including MedSurg, Geropsych, Telemetry, DOU, ICU/CCU, Subacute, and Emergency Department.

To be successful in this role, you must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, BLS certification, and at least six months of experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office. You should also possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
  • Provide basic nursing care, including vital sign checks and monitoring patient conditions
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit to ensure seamless care delivery

Please note that this is a full-time position with a salary range of $21.00 to $26.76 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on your skills, experience, education, and credentials.
