Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Sisters of the Humility of Mary. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition or symptoms to the nursing supervisor.
  • Assist residents with meals and nourishments, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
  • Transport residents to activities and appointments within the community, prioritizing their safety and timely arrival.
  • Routinely round on the healthcare unit to identify resident needs and provide support.
  • Promptly respond to calls for assistance, demonstrating a commitment to resident care.
  • Identify and report the need for replacement or repair of clothing and personal items.
  • Take accurate vital signs and weights, notifying the nursing supervisor of any changes.
  • Participate in lifestyle engagement programs, promoting resident engagement and well-being.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service behaviors and interactions, ensuring a positive experience for residents and their families.
  • Follow and promote infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Record accurate and legible information about resident care and condition in their medical record.
  • Maintain effective communication with the nursing supervisor, updating them on resident status throughout the assigned hours.
  • Attend staff meetings and educational offerings, completing assigned education by stated deadlines and applying it to practice.
  • Maintain attendance as defined by HR policy, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and resident care.
  • Float throughout the healthcare unit to meet resident needs and promote teamwork.
  • Provide care and utilize supplies in a fiscally responsible manner, aligning with the organization's values.
Requirements
