Job Summary:

Loyola University Health System is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Liaison to join our Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced behavioral health knowledge and skills to patients and families, including direct and indirect assessment and care, crisis intervention, support group facilitation, and behavioral health education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completes Level of Care (psychosocial assessment) and participates in the development of the individual treatment plan on all inpatients.
  • Regularly consults with attending psychiatrists regarding patients' condition throughout treatment.
  • Participates in weekly clinical staffing with the treatment team.
  • Coordinates discharge planning in conjunction with the treating psychiatrist.
  • Focuses on psychosocial needs of the patient, including comprehensive aftercare plans and housing when indicated.
  • Conducts family sessions whenever feasible.
  • Facilitates legal process and documentation for involuntary admissions and medication petitions.

Requirements:
  • Required: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Master's Degree and full clinical license two years post Master's.
