Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
Key responsibilities include planning, assessing, intervening, and evaluating the care of patients with an outcome-focused approach.
Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.
Follows the professional standards of care and applies evidence, professional standards, and best practice to bedside caregiving through critical thinking and experiential evidence.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.
Requirements:
Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire and required within 90 days of hire.
Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience in specialty preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
