Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Inova Alexandria Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced respiratory therapeutic interventions, including heliox, nitric oxide, and chest wall oscillation.
  • Establish and manage mechanical ventilation with high proficiency and minimal supervision.
  • Review patient diagnostics data and develop or refine ventilator care plans.
  • Formulate plans of care for patients based on their response to therapy and physiologic profiles.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program.
  • At least six months of experience in a critical care environment or one or more years of specialized training in advanced diagnostics/pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care or more than 10 years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support from AHA upon start.
  • Advanced Certifications (ACLS, PALS, or NRP) must be obtained within one year from date of hire.
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
