In collaboration with the supervising physician and adhering to established departmental protocols, the Echocardiography Specialist is responsible for executing all functions of a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist. This includes conducting various diagnostic procedures such as Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms as prescribed by the physician.
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
- Minimum of one to two years of relevant experience is essential.
- Proficient professional with a robust understanding of Echocardiography.
- Excellent command of both verbal and written English.
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with team members.
- Ability to utilize proper body mechanics.
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, gloves) as required.
- Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program focusing on Echocardiography, or completion of an apprenticeship in an Echocardiography laboratory.
Age-Specific Competence: Must effectively communicate with individuals across all age groups relevant to the position.
